Genesis Personal Incident Survival is concerned with dealing with violence at the individual level, which
emanates from the mind of a criminal intent on doing wrong, violence that is associated with the acts of
robbery, hate assaults, or that which evolves from heated situations and escalates to physical assault when
your best efforts to remove yourself from the situation results in  your being attacked. Because sexual
incidents incorporate a total different defense mindset, attacker type and attack form, Genesis offers them
in their own specific category found under "Women's Incident Survival".

THE REALITIES OF VIOLENCE
The subtle interactions of society always seem to be in a state of contradiction. On the one hand we can be
kind, charitable, caring and gentle; on the other we can be equally mean, selfish, indifferent to suffering, and
brutal. These conflicting states of being can be found in every facet of our lives and provides the seeds of
confrontation and crime, which can lead to violence.

Violence is an ever constant variable of our society, fueled by our necessity and desire as a whole to
interact with each other. Social scientist can make the study of violence as simple or as complicated as
they wish, but at its core the reality of violence converges on three simple truths, that violence is real, it can
happen to anyone at any time, and that it can be protected from.

Violence in all its varied forms is a reality, no society or culture is free of it, though some are more violent
than others, no society can claim immunity from it. News broadcast and articles chronicles on a daily basis
the confrontations, physical wrongs, and shocking evils that man perpetrates against man. The volumes of
statistics compiled by state and federal institutions and law enforcement provide a pale reminder of the
hard side of human nature.

Violence is an ever present reality, but so is the means to protect yourself, and to enhance your ability to
avoid it. This is Genesis' reality concerning violence.
