GENESIS-SCI
                        ABDUCTOR RESISTANCE: TEAM RESISTANCE COURSE
CHILD INCIDENT SURVIVAL
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Purpose
The purpose of this course is to provide the child with actionable skills that will allow him to defend and
counter the violent efforts of an abductor or physical assaults of an abuser. The focus of the course is to
teach the child how to resist, counter, and escape from a vehicle where the child is being held by one or
more bad guys.

Course Preparation
Due to the limited space of a car's interior and the potential that the next destination could be a fatal one for
the child, this course's perspective is viewed from a last resort all out view point. The goal is more than to
just by time it is to destroy the will of the bad guy to perpetrate the crime and to allow the child to escape
the vehicle. This course does not address how the child should defend himself once he gets out of the car
and is pursued by the bad guy, these issues are covered more effectively in other courses offered by
Genesis.

Course Perspective
No child can expect to defeat and adult in an out right fight no matter how sorry the adult maybe, but by
utilizing proper timing, environment and positioning the child can hold his own. This entire course was
designed from the perspective of both the child and the abductor, since these are the only two view points
that really matter.

Defense Objective
This course will teach the student the base fundamentals for countering and defeating an attacker who is
attempting to harm the child utilizing the following violent actions:
* Attacking in front seats * Attacking in rear seats * Attacking in the trunk

Training Tempo
Training is conducted at three speed levels that allow the student to learn, master and internalize training the
tempo level are:

* Skill Mechanics: Here the student will learn the detail mechanics of the skill sets, packages and
movements at slow speed and by the numbers.

* Skill Development: Here the student will repetitiously perform the skill sets, packages, and movements
to reinforce mechanics, develop movement effectiveness and develop mastery. Skill Development is
conducted at medium to fast speed.

* Skill Exercise: Here the student will be challenged with a series of exercises and drills conducted at
medium to fast speed. These drills are at the heart of conditioning and reinforcing the skill sets, packages,
and movements learned and at creating the sub conscious parameters and reference points necessary to
survive the incident. Skill exercises will help the student to slow down the action and see the
aggressor, and also will help to work with the natural process of the adrenal output process.

This is a proactive course that consists of comprehensive  instruction, and realistic practical application of
skills learned, so the student will know when to use a technique, why to use, how to use, and the effects it
should produce.

STUDENTS LEARN
I/ Understanding The Vehicle Assault Encounter
The student will learn the nature and characteristics of the Vehicle Assault Encounter, and how it differs
from other encounter types.

II/ Encounter Philosophy (See Child Incident Main Menu for details)
The student will be given a more detail understanding of the Encounter Philosophy and how it applies to the
specific threat encounter.

III/ Encounter Base Skill Sets
The student will learn a series of foundation skill sets that are specific to the threat encounter and that when
combined allows the student to perform effective encounter package movements.

IV/ Encounter Packages
Package Movements are a series of foundation skill sets specific to the threat encounter and grouped
together to achieve a specific defense goal as it applies to the individual elements of the encounter
philosophy.

V/ Encounter Movements
Encounter Movements are the entire defense action from start to finish that the student would apply against
an aggressor in a real world situation. Each movement represents the actual physical performance of the
Encounter Philosophy in its entirety as it applies to the specific threat encounter.

Encounter movements tie the
Counter, Clearance, and Evacuation packages together into a seamless
flowing orderly motion that achieves the objectives of first countering the attacker and finally escaping the
encounter. Each Movement teaches the student to move in the most effective and fastest manner possible.
These movements are also designed to be implemented with the least amount of energy exertion by the
student.

VI/ Testing
Each student will be tested in his/ her ability to demonstrate real world effectiveness utilizing the skills
taught.  Testing consists of each student defending an attack in each of the Encounter Movements and most
achieve a grade of 80 % to receive training certificate. A grade of 80 demonstrates that the student can
effectively defend him/ her self against average threat
