GENESIS-SCI
PROPERTY DOCUMENTATION CONSULTING SERVICES: HOME AND BUSINESS
There are dozens of methods for conducting property inventories of homes and small businesses, many of
them are labor intense and time consuming, others while quick are overly simplistic and actually
complicates the claims process, and can even make the healing process in the mists of an incident
prolonged and painful.

As a consultant Genesis helps the client develop a detailed inventory that will take less time to complete
relative to the amount of information collected, and will make the claims or report process in the mists of
tragedy flow seamlessly. Genes believes in detailed and functional inventories that actually work for you
when you need them, don't rely on just a vague video recording or a one source written inventory. Genesis
will show you how to develop, organize, and use the following inventories to create an effective and
efficient property documentation of your home, or small business:

RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY DOCUMENTATION
A/ Detailed Written Inventory:
Provided in three specialized formats for efficient usage.

1/ Incident Inventory: This format is designed to allow you to account for the contents of each individual
room and space of your residence. It is useful when damage or theft to your property is limited to one
particular area, in such an event you would not have to wrestle with a large inventory trying to point out the
items you believe were in the room. In case of lost to one room you simply retrieve the specific room
inventory and you’re done.

2/ Estate Inventory: This format is designed to allow you to account for items by their related
categories, such as electronic appliances, collectors’ items, furniture, and more. This is a big picture
inventory and is best used for estimating total value, wills, total loss accountability, property sales, and
much more.

3/ Theft Recovery Inventory: This format is just one more way we hope to make accountability in
times of need easier and less frustrating. This format is designed to allow you to have on one list all those
items most often targeted by thieves. In this way you don’t have to flip through a room by room inventory,
or a large estate inventory. The theft recovery inventory allows you to at a glance account for those items
that thieves target first and foremost. After a robbery time is of essence, you need to quickly let police
know what was taken and they need to post warnings to pawn shops and others to help apprehend the
criminals.

B/ Interior Video Documentation
This is the visual component of the Incident Inventory and is designed to record each individual room and
space of the home. This video documentation is not meant to be a detailed item by item inventory in of
itself, but rater to serve as a visual support for the written inventories, capturing property in a big picture
format.

The Interior Video Documentation also serves as a record of general condition of the interior structure of
the home recording such components as doors, counters, carper, and the interior layout of not only the
placement of furniture, but the design of the house and records home improvements and additions of the
residence that might not be included on old home designs, records or blue prints.

C/ Exterior Video Documentation: Structural
This visual record is used to document the condition and content of the home’s exterior components to
include siding, brick work, ornaments, fixtures, and everything associated with how your home is built and
decorated. Take note that this is not a home inspection or evaluation; this is simply an accounting of your
home’s exterior.

D/ Exterior Video Documentation: Yard
This visual record is designed to document the condition and content of property outside of your residence
to include your lawn, garden’s, fences, and built structures such as sheds, storage cabinets, pools,
gazebos, child swing sets and more.

E/ Art & Collector Items Photo Documentation
This is a photographic record of specific art and collector items and serves primarily as a replacement aid
for the client rather than inventory information for the insurance provider. Items covered are not
necessarily high priced items. Items covered under this documentation inventory are very specific and
include: Paintings, figurines, sculptures, and antique furnishing. Unlike furniture, electronic items, and
appliances that can be readily found, available and purchased at almost any store; items covered under this
documentation are harder to find or their availability maybe limited. An example would be the purchase of
a collection of figurines of a specific theme, say a collection of four inch dog figurines in various action
positions, purchased in another town. This documentation will allow you to show retail sales staff or
makers of the items exactly what you need to replace.

F/ Theft Recovery Photo Documentation
This is a detailed photographic record of all your theft prone items and is designed as a visual support aid
of the theft recovery inventory. Items covered under this documentation inventory are very specific and
include: Radios, televisions, VCR/DVD players, game systems consoles, console games, music CD,
Movie DVD, computers, computer peripherals, jewelry, coin collections, furs, and value collector items.
This documentation can be provided along with a list of the items stolen to law enforcement to help
improve the chances of catching the criminal or at best to recover your items if found by police.

G/ Theft Recovery Identification Marking
Utilizing invisible marking technology that can only be viewed by blue lights, all theft targeted items will be
marked with your designated recovery information. Most thieves are not going to check for invisible
marking some are savvy, but most will assume that the item is not marked, and when they go to pawn the
item off they can be turned in to law enforcement. Invisible marking also doesn't’t require etching unto
your property. Etching does have the advantage of being readily seen by prospective buyers, and if you
prefer etch identification we can accommodate you.

H/ Update System
Genesis will develop an  inventory update system that will allow you to keep you inventory up to date.
